Carton Live Racking is a storage system that uses
inclined shelves equipped with roller track beds to move goods by gravity
from the restocking side to the picking side of the system.
Cartons are stored
on inclined tracks with rollers.
When a carton is removed,
the one immediately behind it gently rolls into position ensuring
automatic stock rotation and that stock is always available for picking.
Carton’s are loaded
into the back of the racking and retrieved from the front.
Restocking and picking
can be done much faster.
The racks also keep
people (i.e. the pickers) at a safe distance from the forklifts that are
replenishing the racks.
Carton live racking
ensures automatic stock rotation and improves picking productivity, simply
by condensing the pick face and reducing the distance that order pickers
need to walk when assembling orders.
